1. Spirited Away.
...It was the very first anime I’ve seen, it will always stay the most important to me.2. Fullmetal Alchemist (2003).
...This one was the first that made me realise anime wasn’t for kids, anime could contain deeply disturbing, controversial and thought provoking themes and that anime was totally my cup of tea.3. Death Note.
...Light vs. L, what else can I say?4. Mononoke.
...This one is also pretty self-explanatory, I mean if you saw it you know why it’s one of a kind and if not then go and watch it asap. 5. [C] - The Money of Soul and Possibility Control.
...Another brilliant piece of work from Kenji Nakamura. Never has economics been so exciting.6. Peacemaker Kurogane.
...It was the first and the last based-on-real-facts historical anime I enjoyed. Generally because after this particular shinsengumi story nothing seemed to match that level of authenticity and seriousness a historical anime series has to have. Too much bishounens ruin shows for me, I guess.7. Zankyou no Terror.
...My wounds are fresh and my heart is still bleeding so I don’t want to talk about it. But I must put it in the list, that goes without saying.8. Saraiya Goyou (House of Five Leaves).
...Another samurai themed anime series, this one impresses with its absolutely amazing, captivating atmosphere. Perfect for long autumn mornings, days and evenings. You gotta find something comfy to bundle up in and something warm to drink, and let the soft, melancholic atmosphere of Saraiya Goyou absorb you wholly.9. Psycho Pass.
...Granted, sometimes this show took itself too seriously but most of the time it totally shone in all its cyberpunk glory. I think the scene where Makishima’s criminal index is nearing zero as he’s nearing murder still dominates my sexual fantasies, hehe. And don’t get me started on Makishima himself. And on dominators themselves.10. Kuuchuu Buranko (Flying Trapeze).
...The third work of Kenji Nakamura in my list, the trippiest of them all. The visuals couldn’t get any weirder and the idea of using seiyuu’s faces for their characters is pretty unique, it’s only that sometimes it felt like my eyes were about to start bleeding from the acid colour palette which happens to be Nakamura’s trademark, but I loved it nonetheless and still do. The story arcs, stringed on a unifying thread to shape one graceful, rounded concept are urgent and pressing for today’s world, they are sad and funny, and smart, and disturbing in a way that everyone could relate to at least some of the problems shown there. So yeah. It’s not the series I wish to rewatch any time soon (or ever) but it’s definitely one of those that impressed me the most.К слову, список аниме, при просмотре которых я получила больше всего кайфа, будет примерно наполовину отличаться от данного, и вот там-то Фри с Хайкью точно будут присутствовать ))
